Bishal Upreti

Bishal Upreti (he/him) is 23 years old and currently based in Ohio. He’s a student at the University of Cincinnati, studying international relations. He has been part of this campaign for over a year. As an avid supporter of human rights and liberation for all, he feels truly honored to be serving as a youth coordinator for GCRPPB in this fight to release those individuals who fought for Bhutanese Nepali. His involvement in the campaign allows him an opportunity to stand up for his people and believe in a cause that is far more than himself.  Overall, he deeply values the impact he makes on other people’s lives and hopes to eventually have a career in the Foreign Service, working with human rights groups and other related causes. He would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the entire leadership here at GCRPPB, especially Ram sir, and all youth coordinators who work passionately from their hearts. He’s extremely hopeful about this campaign and foresees a future where ALL prisoners in Bhutan are free.
