CM Niroula is a Bhutanese American Novelist, recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service award, youth leader, and an obsessive autodidact. Niroula and his family were banished from Bhutan by the time he was 4 years old. He spent 18 years of his precious life in a refugee camp and took up residency in the USA in early 2011. Niroula never let the feeling of being a refugee hold him back. Niroula started his journey while he was in the refugee camp as a volunteer editor of a refugee camp-based newspaper, and a news reporter at a local radio station outside the refugee camp. While in the USA he is the reporter of the Bhutan news network, Bhutan news service, and national coordinator of the global campaign for the release of political prisoners in Bhutan for the USA. He was a host of Nepali talk show Khulla bichar from Manchester public TV channel 23. He published his first book “Ainama Desh” in 2020 which is one of the most acclaimed books in the Nepalese community. He resides in Pennsylvania with his wife and one child.
