Kathmandu: On behalf of the families of Bhutanese political prisoners and the Global Campaign for the Release of Political Prisoners in Bhutan (GCRPPB), Damber Kumari Adhikari, based in Beldangi and mother of one of the political prisoners, Omnath Adhikari, handed over an appeal to the visiting team leader, Deekshya Illangasinghe, Executive Director of South Asians for Human Rights (SAHR), an international human rights organization based in Colombo.

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: The Global Campaign for the Release of Political Prisoners in Bhutan (GCRPPB) has congratulated the newly-elected Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay and his party for securing a majority in the lower house of the Bhutanese National Assembly.
